WHY L'ÉPREUVE DU NORD?

Many teams are disappointed about putting so much effort to produce their vehicle and taking part in only one competition. Indeed, those contests are often far from home and the only costs of displacement and registering are usually too high for smaller teams, like a lot of institutions of the province of Québec. This is why students of Université Laval have been organizing this friendly competition for a few years in which are taking part a lot of elite teams, including the home team, 2011 Mike-Schmidt Memorial Iron Team Award.

THE SEVENTH EDITION

Again this year, l'Épreuve du Nord will take part on the Université Laval's snowy campus February 10th et 11th 2012.

Objective is simple: Promote the university in the region of Quebec by our product. We believe that a prototype like the Baja is a project accessible. Moreover, after the success of l'Épreuve du Nord I, II, III, IV, V and VI, the organization team believe also sincerely that the seventh edition will me memorable.

This year, the biggest challenge will be to organize the logistics about the coming of fifteen teams from everywhere in North America. Furthermore, we will put an effort particulary on the promotion of the activity in the goal to attract more than one thousand visitors, which will benefit to our generous partners.
