Educational Day

PRESENTED BY:

Educational Day’s goal is to make high school students from an institution in the Québec City area know more about the Sciences and Engineering Faculty of Université Laval. The students first visit the science laboratories of the Faculty. 

Among the disciplines to discover, there are:

• Chemistry
• Biology
• Electrical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Civil Engineering

During these visits, they will have presentations on the different technical societies of the Faculty like:

• Baja SAE
• Formula SAE
• Supermileage SAE
• Steel Bridge Team
• Concrete Canoe Team
• Engineers without borders

Then, the students will realize different science and engineering experiments. Divided into small groups, they will get to realize:

• Spaghetti bridge
• Electronic project
• Catapult
• Chemistry experiment

They will finally have the chance to attend a conference on the Love's Chemistry given by a teacher from the Faculty. Will they fall in love with science?
