The competitions are the peak of the school year; they could be defined by an adrenaline rush that lasts three to four days. To have the right to drive, each vehicle must successfully go through a technical inspection that ensures the safety of participants and volunteers. As soon as the car is in line for the technical inspection, the stress level rises and will go down three or four days later after le final lap of the endurance race. The ability to react under high pressure is a necessity and has to quickly become a faculty each competitor develops.
The main goal of the competition is to compare the performances of the vehicles, like in any motorsports series. The competition is also the best time to look at the new technical innovations and to compare and justify the different technical designs the teams have chosen. Friendly atmosphere between competitors promotes discussions and is a good way to make links with future engineers all over North America.
